Adoption Agency

This just in, an adoption agency has just been busted for selling shaved apes as babies. This is very shocking and the agency is getting closed down. People brought the babies home wrapped up and then when they took a good look at their new “baby” they were seriously not amused. The agency was trying to save money by just buying these apes from the zoo but this is just not acceptable. Start a zoo if you want to sell animals.

Symbols Of Me (A Poem)

The smell and the feeling of rain on your skin on a cool crisp night, It’s the simplest thing in the world but it makes you feel alive.

A puppy playful and friendly, loyal and kind  

A rainbow full of colour, creative and let’s your imagination guess what’s at the very end,

Music that let’s your heart soar and your imagination run wild, but at the same time soothes you like an open ocean breeze, like the wind blowing through the trees, or just lying on a white and sandy beach.

Something this school really needs is…

I was actually talking about this with Ms.Swanson and Ms.Stewart in my exit interview, and I said that this school needs more programs. I know we have art, drama, music, and foods and that is great but I don’t think they have dance anymore and that would be good. Also a Beauty School course, I think that lots of girls would be interested in that class for sure. I think also that there should be classes for specific sports like a golf class down at sunnydale, a tennis class down at lewis park, a swimming class at the aquatic center. These things would make students more interested in school. Students would be doing things they like anyways, but get marks for it.

Life-Shaping Events

1. Meeting my best friend. She’s helped me be more social and make friends and she’s someone cool to hang out with and just be myself and have fun with. She’s like my sister.

2. When my dad was rushed to the hospital because of a bleeding ulsur I realised just how important he is to me and to spend as much time with my family as possible because family is really important.

3. Going to school has taught me many things that could be useful to know later in life, and it’s where I made my friends.

4. Having my first job taught me responsibility.

5. Getting my Cat. I got her when I was 6, and she’s 11 now and she always sleeps in my bed with me and is always there for me when I need someone to talk to or just be around. She treats me like her mother and I love her so much, I can’t imagine not having her in my life.

Back to the first life shaping event, I met my best friend when I was in grade four. We were both in the same class and one day we just started talking and we got along right away.

I Love You Too

a new mother.

a wedding reception.

the night of high school graduation…

someones gonna die.

Her name was April and she had just had her baby girl a week before the wedding. Her boyfriend Aaron proposed to her that night as she lay in her hospital bed with little Lily in her arms. She was so overwhelmed with emotion already from having a baby that she just cried and cried, she was so happy and content with her life. She got out of the hospital the next day and they had decided they were ready to get married in a week from then so they started to plan right away, they booked a nice church, they got a wedding planner, they made a guest list and invitations. They had a lot to do, but they got everything done in time but April and Aaron were so caught up in getting ready for the wedding and looking after their new baby girl that they forgot that they had booked their wedding the same night as their high school graduation.

“What are we gonna do?” said April.

 ”Ok we can fix this, we’ll just reschedule the wedding.” said Aaron.

“Two days before?” said April. “You can try but I’m pretty sure this is too late notice.”

So they tried, but the church was booked for two whole months and they really didn’t want to wait that long so they decided to come up with a plan.

“Ok what’s the plan?” said Aaron.

“Well..” said April. “Hmm we could..no..well we could..hmm no that won’t work. I got it! We’ll get married right after graduation wouldn’t that be a perfect way to end a night?”

“Yeah it would, but the church closes at midnight so we gotta get to the church right after the graduation ceremony if we want have a nice long wedding reception.” said Aaron.

“Grads over at nine so we will still have plenty of time to get married.” said April. “Oh, my moms best friend has been nice enough to offer to babysit Lily that night. Since my parents can’t since they are coming to the wedding and all.”

“Ok, great” said Aaron. “Everything is coming together perfectly.”

The day of the wedding was finally here, and Aprils moms friend picked Lily up and then April and Aaron started getting ready for the big night.

“Wow I have two beautiful dresses to wear tonight.” said April.

“And I only have to wear one suit.” said Aaron. “That’s the great thing about us men April, we don’t need to have a different type of suit for every occassion.”

“Yes well I am not gonna wear a pink dress to my wedding silly” said April.

“I know” said Aaron smiling. “Hey April?”

“Yeah?” said April.

“I love you.”

April smiled. “I love you too”

So they went to graduation and had a really great time, they danced, they laughed, they talked with friends. they got up on stage and got their diplomas. It was a good night for them. They decided to talk to some more people before they left. They went over to Aprils Maid of honour, and Aarons Best man.

“Hey Sabrina, hey Mike.”  said April.

“Hey guys ready for the big night?” said Sabrina.

“Yes ma’m, operation weddings a go” said Aaron laughing.

They just looked at him.

“Oh come on that was funny.” said Aaron.

“Yes, honey.” said April giggling “I love your sense of humour.”

“Thank you” said Aaron.

They kissed.

“We are starving, we are gonna grab a bite to eat at the cafe.” said Mike.

“Ok, that’s fine but remember the wedding it’s eight right now so the wedding starts in an hour. We’ll see you there.” said Aaron.

“Ok, see you at around 8:30.” “We won’t take long.” said Mike.

“Ok bye.” said Aaron

“Bye” said Sabrina. “See you in a little while bestie”

“Bye” said April. “See ya in a bit”

8:40 p.m

“Where are they?” said April “The wedding starts in 20 minutes”

“I don’t know I’ll call Mike” said Aaron.

All of a sudden Aaron’s phone rang.

“Hey it’s Mike”

“Mike, I was just about to call you where are you guys?” said Aaron.

“Someone was just shot outside the church and died instantly, no one knows why but everyone is a suspect now, and they are not letting anybody in the church, me and Sabrina are outside with a crowd of people and police.” said Mike.

“What!? I can’t believe this is happening what should me and April do?” said Aaron.

“Get out of the church, the wedding is cancelled, and then we will go home where it’s safe.” said Mike. “Gotta go, everyone is getting questioned”

“What’s going on?” said April.

“Someone just got shot outside the church, and died. We gotta get out of here and go home, it’s not safe around here.” said Mike.

“Oh my gosh!” said April.

They headed outside and saw a big crowd of people gathered around, and a couple police cars. They spotted Mike and Sabrina talking to the cops, so they went over to talk to them.

“Hey so do you have any information on the shooter yet?” said April

“Well we talked to a few people, and no one has seen anyone. We believe that the person must of fled the scene.” said the cop.

“Well are you sure they aren’t in this crowd somewhere, just trying to hide. I think you should send all these people away before somebody else gets hurt.” said Mike

“We will after everyone is questioned.” said the cop.

All of a sudden there was a loud gunshot.  

“Everyone get down!” yelled the cop.

All the cops grabbed their guns and looked around the crowd for someone else with a gun.

“Show yourself right now!” yelled the cop.

“Come on we gotta get out of here right now April” Mike said.

“April? April where are you?” said Mike panicked.

Mike rushed through the crowd yelling her name until, he heard someone scream. It was April.

“Mike! help me!” yelled April.

“Shutup!” yelled some guy that was dressed in all black, he looked like he was in his thirties, and he had messy hair and scruff on his face.

“Who are you and what do you want with April?” said Mike.

“I don’t know who this chick is but she’s gonna be my hostage until the police give me one million dollars.” said the guy.

“Why?” said Mike.

“I am homeless, I have no money, no nothing.” “I need money to start a new life for myself.”

“This isn’t the way to do it, get a job” said Mike.

“You don’t think I’ve tried that?” said the guy. “Listen kid, I need this money and I aint letting your girlfriend go until I get it.”

“Let her go right now or your in serious truoble” said Mike.

“Ha, I’m in trouble buddy? I’m the one with the gun” said the guy.

“Ok don’t call me buddy, you criminal!” shouted Mike.

“Why thank you, the names Tracy by the way.” said Tracy.

“Yeah good to know” said Mike sarcastically. “Look I don’t care if you have a gun, I would be willing to die for her.”

“Really well maybe your not the one I was gonna kill” said Tracy.

He put the gun against Aprils neck.

“Now you go tell the cops that I mean business and that I want my money or your girls gonna get it” said Tracy.

“Not likely” said April. 

April had so much fear in her but she knew she had to get out of this situation, she knew Mike was seriously worried but she knew if he made a step towards her Tracy would shoot her so she kneed him really hard, he fell on the ground in pain. She stomped on his arm and he let go of the gun. She grabbed it.

“Who’s got the gun now?” said April confidently.

“Tracy your under arrest for 1st degree murder, and attemped murder” said the cop.

10:00 pm. After all the cops and the crowd had gone.

“Wow” said Mike shocked and relieved. “I didn’t know you had that in you.”

“Well I was scared out of my mind but I knew I had to do something strong and bold, and I knew I had to do it fast.” “I could tell you were confused and upset and didn’t know what to do” said April

“I was so afraid I’d lose you” said Mike.

“Well I’m right here” said April. ”It’s only ten o clock, ready to get married?”

“I’ve been ready since the day I layed eyes on you” said Mike

April Blushed and giggled.

“April have I told you I loved you” said Mike

“A million times” said April smiling

So Sabrina and Mike, the minister and all the people invited to the wedding came back and they had a beautiful wedding and were so happy to be starting their lives together with their new baby girl Lily.

Lost.

You’ve lost your house, and you’ve lost your car,

you’ve lost your mind, it seems bad so far,

you’ve lost your sense of space and time,

yes indeed you’ve lost your mind.

life’s a mess, and you don’t know why,

do not fret, do not freak,

your almost done this game of hide and seek,

“People Can Create Their Own Reality”

 

This girl named Ashley was having trouble believing in herself. She had been bullied all throughout school by The most popular girls in school, Kimmy and Laurie. Her best friend Brittany was bullied by them too but she always stood up to them. Ashley had trouble standing up for herself. “Nice shirt..for a five year old.” Teased Laurie. “Yeah where’d you get that? My little sisters closet” said Kimmy Laughing. Ashley just stayed silent “Hey guys just leave her alone ok!” said her best friend Brittany. “Yeah, whatever loser” said Kimmy. “Seriously” said Brittany “Just back off, Ashley hasn’t done anything to deserve this, and neither have I so don’t call me a loser” Ashley still stayed silent with her head down. Kimmy and Laurie walked away laughing. “Ash, how come you never stand up for yourself?” said Brittany. “I don’t know I just don’t know what to say they are more popular then me, there’s nothing I can do or say to stop them so why bother?” said Ashley. “Popular shmopular, I don’t care how cool they think they are, they are not cool making fun of people just because they think they are better then everyone else.” “Hey you know what, Kimmy is performing in the talent show next week, you should too. You are an amazing singer, and Kimmy is gonna probably do some lame song and dance routine with Laurie” “I don’t think I’m going to enter” said Ashley. “What? Why not?!” said Brittany. “Because I am shy, and I know if I get up in front of the whole school I’m gonna mess up.” “I just know it.” said Ashley. “Hey there missy” said Brittany. “You can do anything you set your mind too, I have faith in you and just picture the look on Kimmy’s face when you win.” “If I win” said Ashley. “No, no when you win.” Said Brittany. Ashley smiled. “I’ll think about it.” “Ok, I’ll see you tomorrow.” Said Brittany. That night Ashley sat in her room and she sat on her bed, picked up a pen and paper and started to write. She just let the words flow, and the next thing she knew she had finished. The next day at school Ashley met Brittany in front of the school. “Hey” said Ashley. “Hey Ash, so are you gonna enter the talent show.?”

“Yes I am. Actually I wrote a song for it. Come over after school and I will sing it for you.” “Oh and bring your guitar so you can learn the notes. I want you to be my guitar player on stage. It can be like a best friend act.” “Sure, sounds good” said Brittany. “I’m excited to hear it.”  So Ashley practiced singing the song day and night and Brittany learned the notes on her guitar perfectly. So the night of the talent show, Kimmy and Laurie did a dance routine to a Britney Spears song. How did they do? well let’s just say they aren’t gonna win. They kept bumping into eachother and weren’t synchronized. So Then Ashley and Kimmy got on stage. Kimmy sat on a stool with her guitar and Ashley got passed the mic. “Testing” said Ashley. It made a loud screeching sound and everyone plugged their ears. “Sorry” said Ashley. “Ok, so this is a song about how you shouldn’t let bullies bring down your self confidence. I have been dealing with bullying for a while and you know what it stops here. I have let it bug me for a while, and I am finally gonna just ignore it and start having believing in myself.” So she sang the song and at the end got a standing ovation and won. Kimmy and Laurie stopped bugging Ashley and Brittany after that and life was good for them. It just goes to show that no matter how bad your life may seem at one point, it’s always important to remember it can get better. Don’t just sit around and wait for it to get better, get out there and do something you have always wanted to do, have confidence, believe in yourself, follow your dreams. As long as you have that confidence and ambition in life you can do anything.

If I can’t sleep…

Usually if I can’t fall asleep it’s because I am just too awake, so I just watch t.v or go on my computer and find things to do to entertain me so I’m not just lying there staring at the ceiling. But I watch t.v and am on my computer till really late usually and then don’t get enough sleep and then I’m really tired during the day so that’s an issue I gotta fix.

Big City? or Small Town?

Well I have lived in a small town all my life and I find it pretty boring sometimes. But in a small town you can get around easier, and you know more people, and it’s a nice friendly community. And here in the Comox Valley there are beautiful mountains, and lakes, and forests. You don’t get all that in a big city, I think I would miss it. I would however love to visit a big city for a few days, and explore all the sights, and go shopping and all that. I haven’t been to a big city since I went to L.A when I was 8. So I would love to go back there someday.

What’s in a name?

I was named after a girl my mom knew. When she met her and found out her name was Janelle, she just instantly loved it, and she had a few other names in mind but she knew she would probably end up naming me Janelle, and she did.
